It was founded and is led by professional genealogist, Hilary McDonagh. She is a member of the Accredited Genealogists of Ireland (AGI), the accrediting and representative body for professional genealogists in Ireland. A researcher, speaker, teacher, and author, she has been involved for over 20 years in genealogical and family research. Hilary is part of the Genealogy Advisory team at the National Archives of Ireland, a role she previously held for many years at the National Library of Ireland.

 

She is a graduate of University College Dublin with a B.A. in History and Geography, a Diploma in Family History and Genealogy (1st Class Hons), and a Diploma in DNA Genetic Genealogy with the Trace DNA Academy. She also has a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management from Staffordshire University (UK).
